Proposed Fare Change Virtual Community Meeting
Caltrain will host a virtual public meeting on Thursday, May 20 to gather feedback on potential changes to its fare structure as the rail agency continues to work on recovery plans as a result of the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Caltrain is seeking public comment on a proposed extension of the 20% discount on the Monthly Pass fare product through June 30, 2023. In March, the discount was approved only through September 2021. The agency is providing this discount to encourage people returning to work to take advantage of transit, while also providing some financial relief for those that have been riding regularly throughout the pandemic.

Public Comments: Members of the public are encouraged to participate remotely. Oral public comments will also be accepted during the meeting through Zoom or the teleconference number listed above. Public comments on individual agenda items are limited to one per person PER AGENDA ITEM and each commenter will be automatically notified when they are unmuted to speak for three minutes or less. The Committee Chair shall have the discretion to manage the Public Comment process in a manner that achieves the purpose of public communication and assures the orderly conduct of the meeting.

The JPB Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC) meets regularly on the third Wednesday of the month at 5:40 pm at the San Mateo County Transit District Administrative Building.
Location of Meeting
Due to COVID-19, the meeting will only be via teleconference as per the information provided at the top of the agenda. The Public may not attend this meeting in person.
