Taylor Swift Fans Shake Off Traffic, Take Caltrain to Concert at Levi’s Stadium

Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour comes to Santa Clara’s Levi’s Stadium on Friday, July 28 and Saturday, July 29 at 6:30 p.m., so fans that know Highway 101 is trouble belong with Caltrain. Caltrain and VTA will provide fans with an additional post-event train to provide convenient and accessible service after the show.

Caltrain will offer an additional northbound post-concert train both nights that will depart 75 minutes after the concert ends or when full, in addition to operating its regular weekday and weekend service along the Peninsula. Fans can transfer to VTA light rail at the Mountain View Caltrain Station for continuing service to the stadium.

Given the large crowds expected, riders are encouraged to either use Clipper or purchase a joint adult Caltrain + VTA Day Pass through the Caltrain mobile app to avoid lines at ticket vending machines. Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines or via mobile ticketing before boarding. Riders should have their tickets available for inspection while onboard the train. Day Passes purchased through the mobile app are valid on the day of purchase through the end of the service day.

Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased using the Caltrain mobile app or through ticket machines onsite. The mobile app can be used immediately after parking, as it requires a space number. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day.

Caltrain reminds customers that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the trains beginning at 9 p.m. on special event days and nights.
