The Gold Cup is bringing four high-energy matchdays to San Jose — and Caltrain offers a reliable, traffic-free option to get fans to and from the stadium. Caltrain will offer regular service and can take passengers to Santa Clara Station, and from there, fans can take a short walk to PayPal Park.
Mark your calendars for the following Gold Cup matches at PayPal Park:
- Sunday, June 15, at 3 p.m.
- Tuesday, June 17, at 5:15 p.m.
- Friday, June 20, at 4:45 p.m.
- Tuesday, June 24, at 7 p.m.
Caltrain will also provide regular service for the semi-final game Wednesday, July 2, at 7 p.m. at Levi’s Stadium.
Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines or via Caltrain mobile app. Day Passes purchased through the mobile app are valid on the day of purchase through the end of the service day. Fans wishing to avoid a minor delay due to crowds are recommended to use the mobile app to purchase their tickets in advance. Clipper START riders can ride for 50% off a standard fare. Youth Fares are also $1 one way or $2 day passes for passengers 18 and under.
Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased using the Caltrain mobile app or through ticket machines onsite. The mobile app can be used immediately after parking, as it requires a space number. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day, including weekends and holidays.
Caltrain reminds customers that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the trains beginning at 9 p.m. on special event days.
