Caltrain Service to Chase Center

The new Chase Center in San Francisco will be opening its doors this month, and Caltrain can get you there for every concert and Warriors game.
The Chase Center will be holding its inaugural concert this Friday, September 6, and Sunday, September 8, at 8 p.m. as Metallica and the San Francisco Symphony perform together in celebration of the 20th anniversary of their collaborative S & M album. On Friday, Caltrain will operate its regular weekday schedule, which has the last train departing from San Francisco after the concert at 12:05 a.m., making all local weekday stops to San Jose. On Sunday, in addition to its regular weekend schedule, Caltrain will operate one special southbound train after the concert, which departs San Francisco Station at 12:05 a.m., making all local weekend stops to San Jose.
Other September performances include Elton John, Chance the Rapper, Janet Jackson, John Mayer, and many more.
Of course, the Golden State Warriors will call San Francisco home at the start of this much-anticipated NBA season. On Saturday, October 5, the Warriors play their first preseason game against the Los Angeles Lakers at 5 p.m. Opening night of the 2019-2020 regular season takes place on Thursday, October 24, at 7:30 p.m. against the Los Angeles Clippers. Since the new venue resides in the heart of an already congested part of San Francisco, the Chase Center has limited parking options. In fact, there are only 950 parking spaces for a stadium that seats 18,000 people. Take Caltrain to the San Francisco Station to avoid the stress – and expense – of parking. Fans can take a quick 15-20 minute walk along 4th Street and then turn left on Gene Friend Way and continue to Warriors Way, or hop on the MUNI T Third Line, which is free of charge with a Chase Center event ticket. Caltrain will have occasional extra service for concerts and events – check for updates on this page as events get closer. As for post-game/event service, Caltrain will run its regular weekday and weekend schedules. The last trains depart from the San Francisco Station as follows:
Weekdays: 9:30 p.m., 10:30 p.m., and 12:05 a.m.
Saturdays: 9:37 p.m., 10:50 p.m. and 12:05 a.m.
Sundays/Holidays: 9:37 p.m.
So don’t miss out on all of the exciting events the Chase Center has to offer and make sure to take Caltrain – trust us, you won’t want to fight over those 950 parking spaces.

Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; tickets are not sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines. To save time on the return trip, passengers are encouraged to buy a Day Pass or utilize the new Caltrain mobile app. Clipper card users are reminded to tag on and tag off.
To help make it a pleasant trip for all, Caltrain reminds fans to drink responsibly and to remember that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on trains beginning at 9 p.m.
Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased through ticket machines onsite. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day.
