Ways to Pay
Caltrain offers a number of ways for customers to pay for their ride. Click HERE for fare information. To avoid long station ticket machine lines, Caltrain encourages riders to use the Caltrain Mobile Ticket App. Buy an adult Day Pass on the app and you're good all day long. Tickets are activated right when it is purchased on the app.
Day Pass: Purchase a Day Pass before heading to the game. There's no ticket machine at the Stanford station. Those who need to buy a ticket after the game will need to go to the Palo Alto station on University Avenue, about 1/2 mile north of the stadium station.
Clipper: Customers traveling with a Clipper card (Clipper cash or monthly pass) can now tag off and on at the Stanford Stadium station. Caltrain staff with fare readers will be on the platform to assist Clipper customers needing to tag on and off. If you don't use Clipper, the best alternative is to purchase a Day Pass using the Caltrain Mobile App or a paper Day Pass at your origin station.
Group tickets: Groups of 25 or more can save 10% by pre-purchasing their Caltrain One-way tickets or Day passes. Program information is available HERE.
Caltrain reminds customers that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on trains beginning at 9 p.m. on game nights.
