Bayshore Station Overpass Rehabilitation Project

The Bayshore Station Overpass Rehabilitation Project will remove and replace the coating on the station’s pedestrian bridge and stairwells. This will ensure the overpass remains safe and fully functional for years to come.

What to Expect During Construction

Construction on the Bayshore Station Overpass Rehabilitation Project began Summer of 2022 and is expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

From May 8, 2023 through August 7, 2023, the pedestrian overpass, stairs, and elevator were temporarily closed and shuttle service was provided to transport passengers between the north and southbound platforms. We fully reopened the pedestrian overpass on August 7th. Shuttle service has been discontinued, and passengers are able to continue to board trains on the three most northern cars from both platforms.

For riders, the Bayshore Station platforms south of the overpass will be temporarily closed. This will impact passengers getting on and off the trains. In order to get off at Bayshore Station, passengers will need to move to the three northernmost cars of the train. People with bikes seeking to get off the train at Bayshore Station should ride in the northernmost bike car.
