Bayshore Station Overpass Rehabilitation Project

The Bayshore Station Overpass Rehabilitation Project will remove and replace the coating on the station’s pedestrian bridge and stairwells. This will ensure the overpass remains safe and fully functional for years to come.

What to Expect During Construction

The Bayshore Station Overpass Rehabilitation Project will begin on September 19, 2022. The platforms will be partially closed and will impact passengers getting on and off the trains. The project is expected to be completed by December of this year.

All passengers boarding and alighting at Bayshore Station, including people with bikes, please move to the three northernmost cars of the train.

Additionally, there will be a dedicated access tunnel to reach the stairway and the elevator. Please follow signage and marked pathways while inside the station. Elevators and stairways will remain accessible while trains are in service. If night work is needed, the work hours will be from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. and activities will be limited to the coating of the stairwell and elevator.

If night work is needed, the work hours will be from 8:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m.

For riders, the Bayshore Station platforms south of the overpass will be temporarily closed. This will impact passengers getting on and off the trains. In order to get off at Bayshore Station, passengers will need to move to the three northernmost cars of the train. People with bikes seeking to get off the train at Bayshore Station should ride in the northernmost bike car.

Additionally, there will be a dedicated access tunnel to reach the overpass stairway and elevator. Please follow signed and marked pathways while inside the station. Elevators and stairways will be available while trains are in service.
