Starting June 1 through August 31, Caltrain will debut its “Summer of Caltrain” events to engage with riders all summer long. Caltrain will host events at various stations along the corridor from San Francisco to the South Bay.

There will be Customer Appreciation Day events tomorrow morning at the San Francisco, Palo Alto and Hillsdale stations. Riders can grab a free cup of Philz or Tazza D'Amore coffee from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m. On June 5, Innocenti Strings violin soloist Yuri Kye will perform in San Francisco Station from 7 a.m. to 9 a.m.

From June 3 to June 11, riders can meet the Caltrain crew at the San Mateo County Fair while enjoying the festivities. Also, from June 15 to June 19, riders that follow Caltrain on Facebook and Twitter can play Caltrain games for prizes. In addition, Caltrain will be the link for riders to get to a host of events this summer.

About Caltrain: Owned and operated by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, Caltrain provides rail service from San Francisco to San Jose, with commute service to Gilroy. Serving the region since 1863, Caltrain is the oldest continually operating rail system west of the Mississippi. Looking to the future, Caltrain is set to electrify the corridor by 2024, which will reduce diesel emissions and add more service to more stations while advancing the agency’s equity goals.
