Caltrain Board Recognizes Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer Pride Month

The Caltrain of Directors passed a resolution honoring Pride Month at its June meeting.

Pride Month is a time to reflect and appreciate the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer (LGBTQ+) people and communities to reaffirm its commitment to diversity, equity, access, and inclusion. Caltrain will continue to support the efforts to ensure all people are treated equitable and equal.

Caltrain commits to providing an inclusive community for employees and those within its service area by eradicating discrimination, harassment, bullying, and hate speech, and by standing in solidarity with LGBTQ+ people and all those who have historically been marginalized for any reason.

Caltrain will offer enhanced service ahead of this year’s 2022 Pride Parade in San Francisco on June 26. For trip planning information, visit www.caltrain.com or contact our Customer Service Center at 1.800.660.4287.

About Caltrain: Owned and operated by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, Caltrain provides commuter rail service from San Francisco to San Jose, with commute service to Gilroy. While the Joint Powers Board assumed operating responsibilities for the service in 1992, the railroad celebrated 150 years of continuous passenger service in 2014. Planning for the next 150 years of Peninsula rail service, Caltrain is on pace to electrify the corridor, reduce diesel emissions by 97 percent by 2040 and add more service to more stations.
