Metallica will perform at Levi’s Stadium this Friday and Sunday. And if nothing else matters but making it to the show, Caltrain is the best transportation option for concertgoers. Caltrain will operate its regular weekday service for Friday and regular weekend service for Sunday, providing fans with multiple options to get to the show before its 6 p.m. start time.
Concertgoers can transfer to VTA light rail at the Mountain View Caltrain Station for continuing service to the stadium. The last northbound train departing Mountain View will be at 11:48 p.m. on Friday and 11:49 p.m. on Sunday.
Whether you tap your Clipper card, use the Clipper app, or pay with Clipper on your phone’s wallet (Apple or Google), it’s the most convenient — and most affordable — way to ride Caltrain. Clipper offers automatic discounts, including:

Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system, which means tickets are not sold onboard. If not using Clipper, you can buy your ticket:

Mobile Day Passes are valid from the time of purchase through the end of that service day. For a smoother experience — especially when heading to events or during peak hours — buy your fare in advance.
Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased using the Caltrain mobile app or through ticket machines onsite. The mobile app can be used immediately after parking, as it requires a space number. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day, including weekends and holidays.
Caltrain reminds customers that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the trains beginning at 9 p.m. on special event days.
