Caltrain to Deliver Fans to Giants Home Opener

The San Francisco Giants return to Oracle Park for a three-game series against the Florida Marlins, Caltrain is there to get fans to the game and get them home after the last out.

Riders are encouraged to check the schedule for service to and from the park to ensure they are at the platform with a paid ticket before trains arrive and depart. Caltrain will be running an additional train after all weekday and weekend evening games this season that will depart San Francisco Station 15 minutes after the last out or when full, expressing to Millbrae and making all stops until San Jose Diridon Station. Day games will not have additional service.

Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system; riders must have their ticket available at all times for inspection. Tickets are not sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines. Riders that wish to use contactless payment can use either Caltrain mobile app or a Clipper card. For the month of April, all non-GoPass fares are 50% off.

Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for 24 hours from the time of purchase, and permits can be purchased using the Caltrain mobile app or through ticket machines onsite. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day.

Caltrain requires face coverings for all riders. Caltrain does not allow open alcohol containers on trains after 9 p.m. Disruptive passengers will be asked to leave the train.

Giants fans going to the game between May 2-20 should be aware of a temporary service reduction. Caltrain advises riders to always check the schedule before riding at www.caltrain.com.
