Unlimited Caltrain GoPass for Your Organization

The GoPass is available for businesses, educational institutions, students (through an agreement with their school), housing developments, and local government organizations. GoPass is not available for purchase by individuals. 

No, students cannot sign up for the GoPass individually. Instead, a school must enroll in the GoPass program. 

No. If the employees are remote and not assigned to a worksite, they don’t need to be included in the eligible user headcount under the All-In GoPass program. 

No, parking is not included and must be purchased separately.   

No, the GoPass is only valid on Caltrain.  

After we receive your signed Intent Form, we send the agreement and invoice within 5 business days. Once the signed agreement is returned, countersignature may take up to 5 business days. Payment must be received before GoPasses can be loaded, so timing will also depend on your organization. 

Setup begins after we receive the primary portal contact information. Clipper typically completes backend setup and invites the organization to create an account within 5 business days, though delays can occur. 

After we receive the contact information for the GoPass user enrollment survey confirmation email, we prepare the survey link for testing within 5 business days. Additional time may be needed if email setup or testing requires troubleshooting. 

To get started, GoPass participants must submit an Intent to Participate form. 

GoPass Participants will then enter into an agreement (All-In, Tiered) with Caltrain, which details the responsibilities for issuing, tracking and reporting on the status of the GoPasses. 

Payment for the GoPasses is required before the Participant can issue GoPasses to its eligible users and its eligible users must fill out an online enrollment survey before receiving the GoPass. 

The GoPass program requires its users to complete an online enrollment survey. The survey may require the GoPass participant name, GoPass user name, and e-mail address for tracking purposes and confirmation that the user agreed with the Use Acknowledgement terms and conditions. Except as required to administer the GoPass Program in accordance with this Agreement or as otherwise required by law, JPB agrees not to use or to discloseto third parties the personal information. 

Yes. The GoPass Participant determines if and how much they want to charge their employee or student, so long as the price charged to GoPassrecipients is within the limits set forth in the GoPass agreement.

No. Organizations can choose to enroll selected worksites rather than the entire company. Only employees assigned to those worksites are eligible for GoPass. Enrollment is required only for employees who reside in the following counties: Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Merced, Monterey, Napa, Sacramento, San Benito, San Francisco, San Joaquin, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Santa Cruz, Solano, Sonoma, Stanislaus, and Yolo.

No, businesses don’t have to include them in their eligible user headcount.

Yes, companies enrolled in the All-In program have this option.

Unused GoPasses can be donated back to Caltrain’s Pass Forward program as a potential tax benefit and disseminated to underserved communities.
