To ensure Caltrain cyclists continue to feel welcome onboard Caltrain while also keeping the bike cars safe, accessible and comfortable, Caltrain is designing a pilot program regulating the kinds of larger bikes that can be brought onboard, both at peak and non-peak hours.
We want to hear from our riders to ensure that we have the information and insight to craft a pilot that is easy to understand and enforce, and that allows as many people as possible to ride safely and conveniently. We also want to keep promoting use of our bike parking at stations and learn what is working well or needs improvement. Please send comments to BATAC@Caltrain.com.

Timeline
We appreciate the thoughtful input we have had from our bike riding customers about our bikes on board program. Our intent was to propose draft rules in late April and May, but it is taking more time than anticipated to develop clear rules that will help us achieve our objectives.
