Take Caltrain to the Harvest Festival in San Jose

Art & craft enthusiasts from throughout the Bay Area will flock to the 2019 Harvest Festival Original Art & Craft Show at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. The festival will be held this weekend, November 29 through December 1, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Friday and Sunday, and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, during which Caltrain will be on hand to get attendees there and back again.

San Francisco and Peninsula residents can get to the festival without the stress and worries of traffic by taking Caltrain to the San Jose Diridon Station and transfer to VTA light rail for service to Convention Center Station.

The Harvest Festival has been held for 47 years in various locations throughout California. This year’s festival in San Jose will feature hundreds of artisans, specializing in clothing, jewelry, specialty foods, toys, holiday decor and more. Patrons can listen to live music and entertainment, enjoy festival foods and visit a hands-on KidZone where kids can decorate gingerbread cookies.

About Caltrain: Owned and operated by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, Caltrain provides commuter rail service from San Francisco to San Jose, with limited commute service to Gilroy. While the Joint Powers Board assumed operating responsibilities for the service in 1992, the railroad celebrated 150 years of continuous passenger service in 2014. Planning for the next 150 years of Peninsula rail service, Caltrain is on pace to electrify the corridor, reduce diesel emissions by 97 percent by 2040 and add more service to more stations.
