Caltrain Runs Service to Stanford vs. Notre Dame Game Saturday

This Saturday, November 27, the Stanford Cardinal take on Notre Dame at 5 p.m., and Caltrain is ready to deliver fans to the game at Stanford Stadium.

Caltrain is providing both pre-game and post-game service to and from the Stanford Stadium Station for all weekend Cardinal home games this season. Since not all trains serve the Stanford Stadium Station, fans are advised to check the schedule and use the Palo Alto Station as an alternative, if necessary.

Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system. Tickets aren’t sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines. Please be advised that there are no ticket machines or Clipper readers at the Stanford Stadium Station. Passengers are encouraged to buy a Day Pass or use the Caltrain Mobile ticketing app to purchase a return ticket, and Clipper users should seek out Caltrain staff that will have portable Clipper readers for their convenience.

Face coverings are required on Caltrain, and at Caltrain stations and facilities, to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Caltrain reminds fans to drink responsibly and that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on the trains beginning at 9 p.m. on special event days and nights.

Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased using the Caltrain mobile app or through ticket machines onsite. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day.

About Caltrain: Owned and operated by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, Caltrain provides commuter rail service from San Francisco to San Jose, with commute service to Gilroy. While the Joint Powers Board assumed operating responsibilities for the service in 1992, the railroad celebrated 150 years of continuous passenger service in 2014. Planning for the next 150 years of Peninsula rail service, Caltrain is on pace to electrify the corridor, reduce diesel emissions by 97 percent by 2040 and add more service to more stations.
