PG&E Project Temporarily Affects ADA Parking at Hillsdale Station

Monday, Oct. 22, to Wednesday, Oct. 24, 2018, four ADA parking spaces and spaces #299 and #300 near the depot will be temporarily closed to parking so that workers can place a new PG&E electric vault. Please remove your car by 5 a.m. on Oct. 22.

Hillsdale Caltrain Station: 25th Avenue Grade Separation Project
No Traffic Access to Temporary Parking Lot from 31st Avenue
Oct. 8 – Dec 30, 2018

Due to pipe and bore work, vehicle traffic will not be able to access the temporary parking lot on the eastside of the Hillsdale Caltrain Station from 31st Avenue. Please use either 28th Avenue or Delaware Street to access the temporary parking lot. Pedestrian access from the lot to the station will be available via a walkway between the work zone and 31st Avenue. The area will be protected by temporary fencing.

Parking spaces #140 to 144 will be temporarily closed and used for a pedestrian walkway.

NOTICE: Starting Wednesday, Sept. 5, 2018 at 5 a.m. parking spaces #69 to 87 located on the eastside of the Hillsdale Caltrain station between Landing and 31st avenues will be temporarily unavailable while workers install the permanent PTC and fiber optic duct banks for the 25th Avenue Grade Separation Project. The spaces will be closed to traffic until Oct. 31.

Please access the parking lot at 28th Avenue for both entry and exit.

The entry and exit at 31st Avenue will not be accessible to traffic.

PG&E Pipeline Work for 25th Ave. Grade Separation Project

Caltrain in cooperation with the City of San Mateo, is continuing work on the 25th Avenue Grade Separation Project which will improve safety for both motorists and pedestrians and will reduce local traffic congestion and horn noise in San Mateo.

As early as May 21, 2018 until late September, PG&E will begin relocation of a natural gas pipeline for the project on S. Delaware between 25th Avenue and Pacific Boulevard. PG&E crews will work Monday through Saturday and traffic may be impacted due to lane closures and traffic control. PG&E will clearly mark work areas and flaggers will help direct traffic. The project will done in phases over the next five months.

Caltrain makes being sustainable easy.  Customers are encouraged to place paper, glass/cans, food and trash in the same waste container.  The contents make their way to Newby Island Resource Recovery Park where machinery and trained staff sort all contents for appropriate recycling or landfill.
