Group Sales

Caltrain is a great way to travel together for field trips and special outings, such as the ballgames. Save time, effort, money and avoid standing in line at the ticket machine on the day of your trip by purchasing your tickets in advance.

Group tickets are sold at a 10% discount off the Caltrain Day Pass or One-way paper ticket price.

To place your order, simply fill out the Group Travel Order Form below and follow the directions shown. Please don't send in the payment until your trip has been confirmed by Caltrain.

Rules for Use of Group Ticket Sales
- A minimum of 15 fare paying guests must be traveling in your group.
- The group must be traveling on the same ticket type (e.g. Day Pass or One-way)
- The Group Travel Order Form must be submitted at least 9 business days before your travel date.
- There are no exchanges or refunds.
- Group tickets do not reserve a car or guarantee seats. Due to the train’s popularity, some customers may need to stand.

Adult Caltrain + VTA Day Pass: the group ticket discount is only applied to the Caltrain portion of the ticket. VTA DayPass cost remains $7.50 per person.

If you need schedule information regarding train numbers and times, visit www.caltrain.com or call 1.800.660.4287 (TTY 650.508.6448). Train numbers are located at the top of the schedule.  If wheelchair or boarding assistance is needed, please indicate in the Special Assistance box above.  Each train can accommodate two wheelchairs.

Payment Information

Eligible Discount fare applies to seniors (65 years +), Medicare cardholders, certified disabled and youth (18 years & younger).  One child four years old or younger may ride free when accompanied by a fare-paying adult.  Please provide the # of Adults and Eligible Discount traveling and we will calculate the total cost for you.
Please note, the group ticket 10% discount applies to groups of 15 or more fare paying patrons.  Caltrain will contact you about payment method and trip details within two business days of receiving this form.  Payment is due seven business days before the travel date. Group tickets are non-refundable or exchangeable.
