Drink, Don’t Drive to the San Mateo Wine Walk
Festival-goers can start wine tasting early and
keep it up until closing time, if they ride
Caltrain to the 12th annual
San Mateo Wine Walk 2007,
Friday, June 22, from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
If you’re over 21 years old, leave your worries
at home and take the train to the festival in
downtown San Mateo, just across from the Caltrain
station. The festival features wares from a
range of California wineries, with outdoor wine
gardens and more than 25 tasting rooms. Food,
music and local merchants also will be on hand
in the festival area.
Caltrain encourages adults to be responsible
when they drink, and permits the consumption
of alcoholic beverages on board, but please be
aware that disorderly and disruptive passengers
will be removed from the train. Caltrain
offers 70 weekday trains that stop in San Mateo.
For more information about Caltrain schedules
and fares, call 1.800.660.4287 (TTY 650.508.6448).
