Take Caltrain and SamTrans to the Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival

The annual Cinequest Film & Creativity Festival is returning to Silicon Valley and Caltrain and SamTrans are ready to get you to screenings and post-film gatherings.

Festival screenings and events are taking place in various San Jose theatres along with the Century 20 in Downtown Redwood City.

Wherever you attend, let Caltrain and SamTrans be your ride to Cinequest to make your festival going experience safe and fun. This year, Caltrain is proud to partner with Cinequest as a film presenter for the documentary Ritoma.

Caltrain’s weekday and weekend schedules offer plenty of options to get you to the festival venues in both Redwood City and San Jose. From the Redwood City Caltrain Station it’s only a short walk to the Century Downtown 20. SamTrans routes 274, 275, 276, 278, 295, 296, 397, 398 and ECR/ECR Rapid will also get you to Redwood City’s nearby transit center.

From the San Jose Diridon Caltrain Station, passengers can transfer to VTA buses and light rail to the three downtown venues where films will be shown: California Theatre, Hammer Theatre Center and 3Below (formerly Camera 3).

About Caltrain: Owned and operated by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, Caltrain provides commuter rail service from San Francisco to San Jose, with limited commute service to Gilroy. While the Joint Powers Board assumed operating responsibilities for the service in 1992, the railroad celebrated 150 years of continuous passenger service in 2014. Planning for the next 150 years of Peninsula rail service, Caltrain is on pace to electrify the corridor, reduce diesel emissions by 97 percent by 2040 and add more service to more stations.
