Ride Caltrain to the Palo Alto Festival of Arts this Weekend

Palo Alto Chamber of Commerce is celebrating its 36th Annual Palo Alto Festival of Arts this weekend, Saturday, August 26, and Sunday, August 27, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Caltrain will make it easy to attend without the hassle of driving.

Hop onto Caltrain to the Palo Alto station for an 11-minute walk to the corner of University Avenue and Tasso Street in Palo Alto. Weekend Caltrain schedules offer plenty of time options to attend the event.

Enjoy the sights of more than 300 artisans displaying their talented designs while enjoying the musical on-stage performances and street corner concerts. Don’t forget to catch the talents of artist creating chalk paintings on asphalt right before your eyes. Shop the street-lined booths for unique and one-of-kind items and eat to your hearts content.

About Caltrain: Owned and operated by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, Caltrain provides commuter rail service from San Francisco to San Jose, with limited commute service to Gilroy. Caltrain enjoyed five years of consecutive monthly ridership increases, surpassing more than 65,000 average weekday riders. While the Joint Powers Board assumed operating responsibilities for the service in 1992, the railroad celebrated 150 years of continuous passenger service in 2014. Planning for the next 150 years of Peninsula rail service, Caltrain is on pace to electrify the corridor, reduce diesel emissions by 97 percent by 2040 and add more service to more stations.
