Community Impacts During Construction
Regularly scheduled work hours were Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Construction activities included glue removal and grinding old paint; pouring concrete; glueing new tactile markers; and painting. Impacts included partial lane/sidewalk closures and traffic control. Caltrain worked to minimize noise and other disruptions as much as possible. Work areas were clearly marked and flaggers helped direct traffic as needed. Caltrain thanks the local communities for their patience during this important safety improvement project.
