Caltrain Offers Post-Event Service for The Rolling Stones Concert at Levi’s Stadium

Rock and roll legends, The Rolling Stones, are coming to Levi’s Stadium for their NO FILTER tour on Sunday, August 18, at 7:30 p.m.

In addition to its regular Sunday schedule, Caltrain will operate one special northbound train departing Mountain View Station approximately 75 minutes after the concert, or when full, making all weekend local stops to San Francisco in coordination with VTA light rail connecting service.

Concert attendees can ride Caltrain to the Mountain View Station and transfer to VTA light rail for service to and from the stadium.

Caltrain is a proof-of-payment system. Tickets aren’t sold onboard trains but can be purchased at station ticket machines. In order to avoid the long lines that often accompany major events, passengers are encouraged to buy a Day Pass or use the Caltrain Mobile ticketing app. Riders can also purchase a Joint Caltrain+VTA Day Pass on the mobile app or at a ticket machine, which will be valid until end of service.

Caltrain reminds fans to drink responsibly and to remember that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on trains beginning at 9 p.m. Food and beverage aren’t allowed on VTA.

Parking at Caltrain stations costs $5.50 for the day, and permits can be purchased at Caltrain station ticket machines. Paid parking rules are enforced throughout the day.

About Caltrain: Owned and operated by the Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board, Caltrain provides commuter rail service from San Francisco to San Jose, with limited commute service to Gilroy. While the Joint Powers Board assumed operating responsibilities for the service in 1992, the railroad celebrated 150 years of continuous passenger service in 2014. Planning for the next 150 years of Peninsula rail service, Caltrain is on pace to electrify the corridor, reduce diesel emissions by 97 percent by 2040 and add more service to more stations.
