San Carlos Station
Parking Impacts at San Carlos Transit Center
Tuesday, Sept. 18 to Oct 5: parking spaces #150 to 197 will be blocked off to set up the staging area to install fencing.
Please remove your vehicle by 5 am on Sept. 18 or risk towing. Customers are advised to adjust their commute accordingly.
NOTICE: The contractor will be starting some of the utility tie-ins along the sidewalk facing El Camino Real that leads to the new parking lot. The sidewalk will close on Friday, August 3 in preparation for that work on Monday, August 6. Please follow posted signage for the paths of travel to the north and southbound platforms. This work is expected to last until end of September.
Starting Monday, July 30, Prometheus will be fencing off the lower area behind the San Carlos Station Depot to demo concrete in preparation to install pedestrian pavers. Phase 1 of this project will take about 4 weeks. ADA access and the main paths of travel to the north and southbound Caltrain platforms will not change.
During this closure all existing ADA accessible temp walkways will be maintained to ensure a safe pathway for all commuters and residents to and from the bus stop and parking lot, to the train station and also the San Carlos Ave intersection. In addition to that, now that the Cherry St intersection street lights are operational, there is now another safe path for commuters and residents to get from the bus stop and train station to San Carlos Downtown on Laurel St.
