Street Improvements Around SF Station

Sept. 5, 2017 until spring 2020

Construction is currently underway on the SFMTA Townsend Corridor Improvement Project and will continue through the end of the year. A new sidewalk, transit bulb and curb loading zones are being constructed to improve the flow of people and vehicles on Townsend between 3rd and 5th streets.
During construction, wayfaring signs inside and outside the station will be posted to direct Caltrain customers around the work and to buses and taxis. The Bicycle Shop will remain accessible and open during this time.
Please allow yourself extra time to meet your train. Muni buses will stop at Townsend/4th Street. Taxis will pick up and drop off passengers on King Street.
