San Jose Earthquakes

San Jose Earthquakes soccer fans know they won’t be given a yellow card for taking the smart way to the game: Caltrain.  With the Santa Clara station located walking distance to Avaya Stadium, fans can arrive relaxed and ready to see their team dribble and chip. 

Caltrain provides 90 minute service on weekends from San Francisco to San Jose, with all local trains stopping at the Santa Clara station. Fans can hop aboard VTA Route 10 to get to the stadium.  The free shuttle operates every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 30 minutes on weekends. The NEW pedestrian tunnel to Brokaw Road is now open to the public. Fans can now exit the tunnel and walk to Coleman Ave. to the Stadium. The walk takes approximately 10 minutes.   

Post-game service
The last scheduled northbound train to serve the Santa Clara station is at 10:35 p.m. Click here for regular weekday & weekend schedule.  

Proof-of-Payment
Customers must have a valid fare before boarding the train. Keep your ticket or validated Clipper card handy to display to the conductor or fare enforcement officer. Customers without valid tickets may receive a citation and fine.

Caltrain offers a number of ways for customers to pay for their ride. Click HERE for fare information.  You can save money by traveling with Clipper e-cash compared to buying a ticket at the station.

Group Tickets: Groups of 25 or more can save 10% by pre-purchasing their Caltrain One-way tickets or Day passes. Program information is available HERE.

Parking at Santa Clara station 
Caltrain reminds customers parking at the station to attend the game, parking is enforced 24/7 at all lots. Parking permits can be purchases on the train platform ticket machine.  

Alcohol Reminder
Caltrain reminds customers that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on trains beginning at 9 p.m. on game nights.
