San Francisco Pride Parade

Caltrain will be adding extra trains to accommodate the larger crowds expected for the 48th annual San Francisco Pride Parade and Festival on Sunday, June 24 and the San Francisco Giants game at 1:05 p.m.  

Sunday's parade will start at 10:30 a.m. at Beale and Market streets and the festival is at SF's Civic Center from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. To accommodate the crowds for Sunday's Parade and the 1:05 p.m. Giants game, Caltrain will be operating four special northbound trains. The trains will depart the San Jose Caltrain Station at (S01) 8:09 a.m., (S03) 8:33 a.m., (S05) 9:41 a.m. and (S07) 10:28 a.m. See schedule below.   

Passengers should be aware that the extra trains will be posted on Caltrain’s visual message signs on station platforms as S01, S03, S05 and S07. Customers should expect crowded conditions on the train Sunday, as Caltrain will also be carrying passengers to the San Francisco Giants home game at 1:05 p.m.

Post-Event
Caltrain will be adding extra capacity Sunday evening. Please refer to the regular weekend (Sunday) schedule.  

Proof-of-Payment
Customers must have a valid fare before boarding the train. Keep your mobile or paper ticket or validated Clipper card handy to display to the conductor or fare enforcement officer. Customers without valid tickets may receive a citation and fine.

Ways to Pay
Caltrain offers a number of ways for customers to pay for their ride. Caltrain encourages riders to use the Caltrain Mobile Ticket App to any special event, however daily parking permits are not available on the app yet and can be purchased at station ticket machines. Click HERE for fare information.  Customers traveling with Clipper e-cash must tag on and off.

Group Tickets:
Groups of 25 or more can save 10% by pre-purchasing their Caltrain One-way tickets or Day passes. Program information is available HERE.

Alcohol Reminder
Caltrain reminds customers that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on trains beginning at 9 p.m. on game nights and special event nights.
