Bikes on Bombardiers (48-bike capacity)
Caltrain operates two types of train equipment: Bombardier (photo, left) and Gallery . While each train has two bike cars, the number of bike spaces on the two types of equipment differs. Bombardier trains can accommodate 48 bikes, while Gallery sets carry a maximum of 80 bikes. Below are the weekday train numbers that use the lower bike capacity Bombardier equipment. Please note: these may change periodically due to maintenance cycling or major service delays.
The weekend Baby Bullet trains use Bombardier equipment. The other weekend trains may use either Gallery or Bombardier cars, depending on the maintenance cycle requirements.
