San Francisco Bike Parking Facility
The bike parking facility at the San Francisco Caltrain Station provides free, secure bike parking for riders who want to park their bike at the station rather than taking it on the train. The facility, which opened in 2007, has space for 130 bikes.
The $502,000 construction cost was funded by a combination of state and federal grants to operate for three years, as well as funding from the City and County of San Francisco and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District. By the end of three years, the facility is required to be self-sufficient. The attended parking service is operated by Warm Planet Bikes, which also does bike repairs and sells bikes, folding bikes and accessories. For more information, visit our bike parking page.
