PG&E Pipeline Work for 25th Ave. Grade Separation Project
Caltrain in cooperation with the City of San Mateo, is continuing work on the 25th Avenue Grade Separation Project which will improve safety for both motorists and pedestrians and will reduce local traffic congestion and horn noise in San Mateo.
In May 2018, PG&E began construction to relocate a gas pipeline. An open house was held on Tuesday, April 17 at 6:00 p.m. for community members to learn more about the overall project and the pipeline relocation.

PG&E will conduct the final stage of work on their gas line relocation starting July 15, 2019, which will include a temporary closure of Pacific Blvd. (from S. Delaware to the Hillsdale Blvd. on-ramp) for approximately three weeks; and temporary lane closures on S. Delaware (between 25th and 28th Avenues) with flaggers assisting bi-directional traffic flow for approximately three weeks. Work hours will be 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday. Please note, PG&E's construction schedule is subject to change and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
