Take Caltrain to AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Shootout

Volleyball fans can score by taking Caltrain to the AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Shootout on Sept. 12, 13 and 14 at Pier 30/32 in San Francisco.

The three-day event will feature Gold Medalist Kerri Walsh, Matt Fuerbringer, Nicole Branagh and Holly McPeak, who are competing for berths at the Manhattan Beach Open for a shot at the 2008 Pro Beach Volleyball Championship title.

The main draw competition will take place on Friday, Sept. 12, from 10:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. and will continue on Saturday, Sept. 13, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and will conclude with the men’s and women’s finals on Sunday, Sept. 14, from 11:15 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Passengers are reminded that open alcoholic beverage containers are prohibited on post-event trains after 9 p.m. It is recommended that riders purchase a Caltrain Day Pass on the way to the event.
