Caltrain Beats the Competition to the Bay to Breakers Race

Runners going to the Bay to Breakers race on Sunday, May 20, can conserve their energy by taking Caltrain to San Francisco.

Caltrain will provide a special northbound train departing from the San Jose Diridon station at 6 a.m. The train will make all regular weekend stops along the Peninsula, until Millbrae, after which it will express to San Francisco, arriving at 7:26 a.m.

After arriving at the San Francisco Caltrain Station, participants can either walk or take the T Third Muni rail to the starting line. Passengers may return on any of Caltrain’s regular Sunday trains, which leave the San Francisco Caltrain Station at Fourth and King streets on the hour, until 9 p.m.

One-way tickets, Day passes or 10-ride tickets can be purchased at Ticket Vending Machines at the stations before boarding.
