Caltrain Special Service for Fourth of July
Caltrain will operate on a Sunday schedule
on the Fourth of July but will add extra trains
to get people home from the fireworks show
in San Francisco.
Caltrain will operate 28 scheduled trains
between San Francisco and the San Jose
Diridon Station for the Tuesday holiday.
Following the fireworks show by Pier 39,
an express train will depart San Francisco
at 11 p.m. and express to San Carlos, after
which it will make all weekend stops to
San Jose Diridon station. Two extra local
trains will depart The City at 11:15 p.m.
and 12:01 a.m., making all local weekend
stops to San Jose Diridon station.
Shuttle bus service will connect the
Tamien and San Jose Diridon stations
for all trains through Trains 446 and 447.
Caltrain is a Proof-of-Payment system
and valid fare media must be purchased
before boarding the train. Tickets can be
purchased at vending machines at all
stations or from the station agents at the
San Francisco or San Jose stations.
REMINDER: Caltrain will not permit
open alcohol containers on trains leaving
San Francisco after 9 p.m. Violators will be cited.
