Caltrain to Hold Three Community Meetings on Fare Increase

Caltrain will hold public meetings to take comments about proposed fare and parking fee increases, which, if approved would go into effect later this year.

All three meetings will begin a 6 p.m. and be held at these locations on the following dates:

June 27

There are two proposals to consider. The first is a fare increase of 25 cents per zone traveled. The second is a fare increase of 25 cents on the base fare of each ticket, plus an additional 25 cents per zone traveled. Fare increases to multi-ride tickets and passes would be adjusted accordingly. A proposed increase in parking fees is also included, which would raise rates from $1.50 per day to $2.00 per day, and increase monthly parking passes from $15 per month to $20 per month.
