Caltrain will operate extra service to bring soccer fans
home from the World Cup competition tonight at SBC Park.
Fans can get to the 8 p.m. match-up between the U.S.
Men’s National Team and Japan on Caltrain’s regular
weekday service. But for the trip home, Caltrain will operate
two special trains, in addition to regular service.
The first southbound return train will depart the
San Francisco Caltrain Station approximately 15
minutes after the end of the game, operating
non-stop to San Carlos. From there, the special
train will make all local weekday stops to San Jose.
The second southbound special train will leave approximately
25 minutes after the end of the game, making all local
weekday stops to Diridon station in San Jose.
Caltrain’s San Francisco Station is just a two-block
walk to the ballpark, or people can ride the Muni
Metro’s N-Judah streetcar.
