Caltrain Alma Street Crossing to be Temporarily Closed

The Alma Street railroad crossing will be closed to traffic, Friday, April 15 beginning at 7 p.m. through Sunday, April 17 at 5 p.m.

Traffic traveling on Alma Street south of Palo Alto Avenue should use University Avenue to cross El Camino Real. Traffic traveling on Alma Street south of University Avenue should use Churchill Avenue to cross El Camino Real.

The Alma Street crossing has not been renovated in more than twenty years. Improving this crossing is critical to maintaining a safe and efficient railroad. In addition, vehicular, bicycle and pedestrian traffic will enjoy easier passage since crews will smooth and level the tracks and asphalt supporting the crossing.
