Caltrain Maintenance and Construction Dec. 18 - 22

From Dec. 18 to 22, crews will be doing routine maintenance work in several areas on the rail line.

To avoid train delays the work will take place from 7 p.m. to 4:30 a.m. There will be construction noise from the equipment used to accomplish this work, but crews will work as quietly as possible.

A welding crew will be working on the tracks from South San Francisco to San Bruno from Sunday to Thursday.

On Sunday and Monday nights a second crew will be replacing ties from Burlingame to San Mateo.

Also on Sunday and Monday nights a crew will be realigning the curve in the tracks between San Mateo and Belmont. The same crew will align tracks from Mountain View to Sunnyvale on Tuesday and Wednesday and from Sunnyvale to Santa Clara on Thursday.

Caltrain apologizes for any inconvenience caused by this vital maintenance work.
