Regional Rail Plan
Community Workshops
The Metropolitan Transportation Commission, Caltrain,
BART and the California High-Speed Rail Authority will
be hosting public workshops to help develop a Regional
Rail Plan for the Bay Area.
Topics for discussion include:
- Improving the Bay Area’s existing rail system
- Locations for new rail extensions and train stations

- Rail sharing between passenger and freight trains

- Planning for growth

- Evaluating initial rail concepts

Presentation to City and County Association of Governments Board: 7:00 p.m.
Workshops will also serve as “scoping meetings” for the preparation
of the California High-Speed Rail Authority’s Bay Area to Central
Valley High Speed Train Program.
Each meeting will offer identical afternoon and evening sessions,
to accommodate different schedules. Session #1 will take place from
3pm-5pm. Session #2 will take place from 6pm-8pm.
