Caltrain September Board Meeting to be Held in Santa Clara

The Caltrain policy board will meet Thursday, Sept. 2, in the Santa Clara City Council chambers at City Hall. The meeting is at 10 a.m.

The Caltrain board usually meets at Caltrain headquarters in San Carlos. To promote wider public participation, the board's practice is to hold one meeting per year in both San Francisco and Santa Clara counties, which are partners with the San Mateo County Transit District in providing Caltrain service.

Santa Clara's electrically powered Breathe Easy Express will shuttle people to and from the Santa Clara Caltrain Station. Santa Clara City Hall is located approximately one mile from the train station at Railroad Avenue and Franklin Street.

The shuttle will run from the station to the chambers between approximately 9:15 a.m. and 10:15 a.m.

Trains from the north arrive at the Santa Clara station at 9:35 a.m. and 9:55 a.m. Trains from the south arrive at the station at 9:11 a.m. and 9:44 a.m. For Caltrain fare and general information, call 1.800.660.4287.
