New Schedule Effective June 5
Caltrain rolls into the 21st century at full speed with its upgraded service, which
includes 10 new Baby Bullet express trains. Beginning in June, Caltrain will be
running 86 weekday trains - the highest service level in the railroad's 140-plus year
history.
Weekend train service returns to the Peninsula June 5. Caltrain will offer hourly
service on Saturdays and Sundays, a 50 percent service increase for Sundays.
Weekday commuters will be able to travel aboard a Baby Bullet train between San
Francisco and San Jose in less than an hour, making Caltrain competitive with the
automobile in terms of travel time. In addition to San Francisco and San Jose, Baby
Bullet trains also will serve the Millbrae, Hillsdale, Palo Alto and Mountain View
stations. In addition, the morning southbound Baby Bullet trains will stop at the
22nd Street station, with reverse service in the evening.

Caltrain is able to run the Baby Bullet trains because of the track and signal work
that the railroad has undertaken over the past two years.
