Caltrain Hosts Strategic Plan Workshops in January
Caltrain is holding a series of public workshops in January to receive feedback on
its Draft Caltrain Strategic Plan, which is a 20-year plan that presents the Caltrain
Vision and Guiding Principles, and outlines the service, capital and financial plans
for fiscal years 2004 -2023.
The workshops, which will feature stations with details on the strategic plan, will
be held in San Francisco, San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. Attendees can learn
more about the strategic plan and provide feedback on the final plan that will
eventually be adopted by Caltrain's Board of Directors.
Four scenarios - Status Quo, Modest Growth, Enhanced and Build Out - present
alternative futures for Caltrain, service levels, capital improvements and financial
policies are tied to each of the scenarios.
The Vision and Guiding Principles were adopted by Caltrain's Board in April 2003. A
final plan will be presented to the board for adoption following the public workshops.
