Rail Link Takes Football Fans to the Big Game
Peninsula fans going to the Big Game at the University of California/Berkeley on
Saturday can make part of the trip by rail.
Riders can either take Caltrain and transfer to BART at the Millbrae Intermodal
Station or board BART at Millbrae or at another station in northern San Mateo County.
Abundant free parking is available at the Millbrae, San Bruno and South San Francisco
BART stations.
Passengers can disembark at the downtown Berkeley BART Station and board a free Bear
Express shuttle to the stadium. The shuttles, which are run by the university, have
stops close to the BART station and start 2½ hours prior to game time.
Riders can also take BART to the Rockridge station and transfer to an AC Transit
system bus, with service beginning at 8:30 a.m., four hours before the annual contest
between Cal and Stanford University, which starts at 12:30 p.m. Regular fares and
transfers apply.
Return bus service to the Rockridge BART Station will be offered after the game. For
