Caltrain Holds Schedule-Change Meetings
Caltrain is proposing adjustments to its timetable to provide a better connection
with BART at the Millbrae Intermodal Station.
In addition to adjusting all train times up to nine minutes, the majority of trains
would serve the new Millbrae station, where Caltrain and BART will offer a
cross-platform transfer.
Caltrain's supplemental RRX bus service, which is serving weekend passengers while
Caltrain completes the CTX construction projects, also would be
adjusted(PDF, 5.4 KB) to serve the
Millbrae Intermodal Station in addition to its stops at Fourth and King streets in
San Francisco, Hillsdale in San Mateo, the Palo Alto station, and the San Jose
Diridon station.
Caltrain will hold three public meetings on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 6 p.m. to provide
information on these proposed changes(PDF, 51.5 KB)
and to receive public input on the modifications.
The meetings, which will all have the same format, will be held at:
- San Francisco Caltrain Station, Fourth and King streets, San Francisco
- Caltrain Administrative Offices, 1250 San Carlos Ave., San Carlos
- San Jose Fire Department, Bureau of Education and Training, 245 So. Montgomery
St., San Jose
The new timetable would become effective with the beginning of BART service to the
new stations on the Peninsula, anticipated in the first part of 2003.
Comments on the proposed timetable are due by Dec. 27. Comments also may be sent to
Caltrain Timetable Change, P.O. Box 3006, San Carlos, 94070-1306 or to
caltraintimetable@caltrain.com.
