Caltrain to Add Service for SF Pride Parade
Caltrain will add extra cars to trains to accommodate people heading north for the
San Francisco Pride Celebration the weekend of June 29 and 30 and will run a special
train for the parade on Sunday.
Both weekend days, all scheduled trains headed into San Francisco will operate with
five cars.
On Sunday, a special train will depart San Jose at 8:15 a.m., arriving in San
Francisco by 10 a.m. Other trains depart at 7:30 a.m., 9 a.m., 10 a.m., 11 a.m. and
noon.
The post-parade special train will depart San Francisco at 9 p.m. Passengers also can
ride scheduled trains, departing at 6 p.m., 7 p.m., 8 p.m. or 10 p.m.
The San Francisco Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender Pride Celebration includes
entertainment and other festivities in the Civic Center area on Saturday and Sunday.
For people who plan to attend the celebration both days, Caltrain’s Weekend Pass is a
good option. The $9 pass allows for unlimited rides on Caltrain all weekend.
