Independence Day Weekend

Caltrain will operate its regular weekday service on Friday, July 3 including its fire- cracker-fast Baby Bullet service. So if you’re looking to get around fast this Independence Day weekend – ride Caltrain.

And, if you’re thinking about watching the Independence Day Fireworks at Pier 39 in San Francisco on July 4, ride Caltrain and liberate yourself from traffic! Caltrain’s post-fireworks specials will get you home faster than a bottle rocket and are a lot safer.

Caltrain will operate three extra trains after the fireworks. The first two special trains will depart from the San Francisco station at 11 p.m. and 11:15 p.m., respectively, or when full, and express to San Carlos, then making all local weekend stops until the San Jose Diridon station. The third special train will leave at 11:30 p.m., or when full, and will make all local weekend stops until the San Jose Diridon station. Caltrain’s final train of the night will depart at 12:01 a.m. and make all local weekend stops to San Jose Diridon.

Have questions or need help planning your trip? Call 1.800.660.4287 or for those with hearing impairments (TTY only) 650.508.6448. View the Weekend Service HERE.

Caltrain encourages you to purchase a Day Pass on your way to the festivities to avoid delays in boarding as you return home. Alcoholic beverages are not allowed on trains beginning at 9 p.m.
