Stanford Football

Regular weekend Caltrain service will stop before and after the game at the Stanford Stadium Caltrain Station, located at Embarcadero Road and Alma Street and is just a short walk to the stadium (see chart below for specific train numbers). Caltrain will serve all Stanford weekend home games.

Customers must have a valid fare before boarding the train. Keep your ticket or validated Clipper card handy to display to the conductor or fare enforcement officer. Customers without valid tickets may receive a citation and fine.

Ways to Pay
Caltrain offers a number of ways for customers to pay for their ride. Click HERE for fare information. Ticket machines are located on train platforms. Stanford Stadium station is located in Zone 3. Please arrive early to avoid long lines. Parking permits can also be purchased from the ticket machines in one transaction. Reminder: There are no ticket machines at Stanford Stadium station. 

Day Pass: Purchase a Day Pass before heading to the game. There's no ticket machine at the Stanford station. Those who need to buy a ticket after the game will need to go to the Palo Alto station on University Avenue, about 1/2 mile north of the stadium station.

Clipper: Customers traveling with a Clipper card can now tag off and on at the Stanford Stadium station. Caltrain staff with fare readers will be on the platform to assist Clipper customers. An alternative is to purchase a paper Day Pass at your origin station.

Group tickets: Groups of 25 or more can save 10% by pre-purchasing their Caltrain One-way tickets or Day passes. Program information is available HERE.

Alcohol Reminder
Caltrain reminds customers that open alcoholic beverages are prohibited on trains beginning at 9 p.m. on game nights.
