Introducing Two-for-One Bike Locker Offer at Six Stations
Caltrain's demonstration program is aimed at reducing demand for
bike space on the train.
The program, which is being offered at six stations only,
is also intended to fill up the unused bike locker space. The
lockers available under the "Two-Fer" Program are at
South San Francisco, San Bruno, Millbrae, Redwood City, San
Jose Diridon and Tamien stations.
Following are some key points about the program and how to sign
up:
-
The bike lockers must be located at the normal ends of the cyclist's
commute trip.
-
The cyclist is expected to not bring a bicycle on Caltrain
for his or her normal commute trip.
-
Bicyclists who want to use the program should call 650.508.6350
(Bike Locker Voice Mail) and say that they wish to use the new
"Two-Fer" Program. Please state your normal commute
trip origin and destination. If a locker is available at both
points, you will be rented both lockers for the normal
price of one ($33 for six months, plus key deposit for each locker).
We regret that you can not bring a bike on Caltrain as you will
have bikes on both ends of your commute.
This offer is only available to people who do not already have
two lockers, and refunds will not be provided. If you already
have a locker and are adding a second locker, a second application
will be needed. Finally, Caltrain will allow a maxiumum of two
lockers per person for all locker users.
The demonstration program was suggested by the Caltrain Bicycle
Advisory Committee and continues to be offered on a trial basis.
If you have questions, please call 650.508.6350. Tell the Voice
Mail System your telephone number and the best time to call you.
Locker rentals are subject to other rules of
the bike locker program.
