About Burlingame Station

Thank you for your interest in Caltrain. Although Caltrain has been serving your community for more than 144 years, it continues to change and improve to meet the needs of the Peninsula residents.

Caltrain serves the Burlingame station 62 times each weekday. Hourly service is provided on Saturdays and Sundays. Please check a Caltrain timetable for details.

Caltrain fares are based on the number of zones traveled. For instance, if you are traveling between Burlingame and Redwood City, you would pay $2.25. A trip to San Francisco only costs $4 for an adult. Discount fares are offered to senior citizens, persons with disabilities and kids (17 years and younger).

In addition to providing its regular complement of service, Caltrain also runs special trains for baseball games held at AT&T Park, home of the San Francisco Giants. The ballpark is just one block from Caltrain’s San Francisco terminal.

Tickets
Caltrain tickets are available at ticket vending machines located on the platforms at each station. An array of tickets is available to meet your travel needs: Monthly, 10-ride, Day Pass and One Way. The San Francisco and San Jose stations also have a staffed ticket office. Passengers must have a valid ticket before boarding the train.

The Ride
Caltrain conductors will check tickets during your ride. Please keep it readily available for inspection.

Caltrain offers a number of onboard amenities, such as luggage racks, dedicated wheelchair space, bike car and restrooms. Eating and drinking also are allowed on Caltrain. However, we ask that you remove all your trash.

Safety is Top Priority
At Caltrain, safety is our top priority. Please remember to only cross train tracks at designated crossings and only when it is safe to do so. Look both ways before crossing. Caltrain operates 96 trains each weekday, in addition to weekend service and special trains. Union Pacific Railroad also operates freight trains up and down the Peninsula.

When waiting to board a train, remain behind the yellow safety line and wait for the train to come to a complete stop and open its doors before preceding to board.

Trip planning information is available through the Caltrain Website and also by calling the Customer Service Center at 1.800.660.4287 (TTY 650.508.6448).

We hope that you enjoy your trip on Caltrain, whether you’re heading to work, school, shopping, a ball game or just to explore the Peninsula. Caltrain will keep you on the right track.
