Bike lockers are available at most Caltrain stations, making it
easy for people to combine exercise with their daily commute.
Bike lockers give people the flexibility of riding a bike to or
from the train station to get between home and work. And with
a limited number of bike spaces on the train, cyclists have the
flexibility of leaving their bike in the locker rather than wait
for another train to bring a bike on board.
The Peninsula Corridor Joint Powers Board has made 725 bicycle
lockers available at stations from San Francisco to the Tamien
station in San Jose. The JPB will install 228 new lockers as part
of the Rapid Rail Project. The new lockers will replace those
in poor condition and add to the existing inventory at the California
Avenue station.
Lockers operated by the Joint Powers Board cost $33 for six months,
plus a $25 refundable key deposit. For information on renting a bicycle locker call
Caltrain at 650.508.6350 or e-mail
JJBrown@Amtrak.com for specific location
availability before submitting an
