Catch Caltrain to UCLA Game Friday
College football fans can make Caltrain part of their game plan this Friday as Stanford takes on UCLA at 5 p.m.
Caltrain will not serve the Stanford Stadium station before the game because it will interfere with peak commute-hour service. The Palo Alto Caltrain Station, located just one-half mile north of the stadium station, is a convenient alternative.
Beginning three hours after the kick-off, three trains in each direction will stop at the Stanford Stadium station. Check Caltrain’s website for details.
Since there are no ticket vending machines at the Stanford station, riders are advised to purchase a Caltrain Day Pass at their departure station before boarding the train to the game. Customers using a Clipper card (cash or 8-ride Ticket) will need to use the Palo Alto station to tag their cards. Caltrain is a Proof-of-Payment system and all passengers must have a valid ticket.
Caltrain reminds fans to drink responsibly and to remember that open alcoholic beverages are not allowed on game day trains beginning at 9 p.m.
