Caltrain Apologizes

This has been a tremendously difficult week. Thank you for your patience. We are sorry for the delays you may have experienced this week. Some delays, like those caused by mechanical breakdowns, are our responsibility and we will do better. Many delays are the result of operating through a densely populated congested corridor, where vehicles and pedestrians can easily access the tracks.

Separating the railroad from the surface streets would help. But that is extremely expensive and the funding simply isn't available right now. We're working on that, too but it is a longer term solution.
