Transit Beats Traffic to the San Mateo Harvest Festival

Be crafty – avoid traffic and the hassle of parking by taking Caltrain and SamTrans to the 2009 Harvest Festival – Original Arts & Craft Show, Nov. 13-15, at the San Mateo County Event Center in San Mateo. The show will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.

More than 300 artisans will feature thousands of unique handmade works, including paintings, glassware, jewelry, home decorations and more. Visitors can browse the extensive showroom and enjoy a full schedule of musical entertainment.

The event center, at 2495 S. Delaware St., is a short walk from the Hillsdale Caltrain Station, at the corner of El Camino Real and Hillsdale Boulevard. SamTrans Routes 390 and 391 stop on El Camino Real, a couple of blocks away from the entrance to the event center, which also is served by Route 292.
